Yes, basic riding experience is recommended as the journey involves high-altitude mountain roads, rough patches, and long riding hours.
Most Ladakh bike trips are conducted on reliable bikes like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 or Royal Enfield Classic 350, which are suitable for the terrain of Ladakh.
You must carry a valid driving license for a geared motorcycle, along with a government-issued ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID.
The ideal time is from April to September, when the roads to Leh and nearby high-altitude passes remain open.
Since Ladakh is located at high altitude, some travelers may experience mild symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness. Proper acclimatization, hydration, and rest help reduce the risk.
